Student Members
ASID membership dues are collected at the National level. Applications and more information is available HERE.
Individuals who are actively enrolled as a student in a post-secondary program of interior design education being presented at any accredited university, college, or school of interior design, provided that such program requires completion of a minimum of a two-year program in interior design and related courses AND completion of 40 semester/60 quarter hours of interior design education from an institution accredited by the appropriate regional or national institutional accrediting body. Enrolled students may maintain student membership for a maximum of six (6) years or until graduation whichever comes first.
Upon your graduation, ASID will extend your student membership for 6 months on your graduation date before it auto renews to Allied Year 1. Allied membership Years 1-5 are at a greatly discounted rate.
Student members of the Nebraska/Iowa Chapter are eligible to apply for scholarships and attend all Chapter events.
3rd Year Scholarship Application
Three $1,000.00 scholarships will be available for the 2024-2025 School year, one each for a third-year student member of each accredited college or university below.
Application Deadline: MARCH 1, 2024
Any 3rd year interior design student member at ISU, UNK or UNL may apply for this scholarship to be received in their fourth year of study. See application for details. Click one of the below links to download application:

Student Representative to the Board (SRB)
Every ASID Chapter that has student Chapters is required to have a student representative to the Chapter Board. This selected student serves a one-year term on the Board from October 1 to September 30. Student members may apply for consideration for this position.
TIMELINE:
March 1, 2024: Student Rep to the Board Candidate Applications are due to the NE/IA Chapter ASID office via Email
SRB Candidate Application (See the ASID Policies for the SRB Responsibilities)
March 15, 2024: Candidates are presented to the NE/IA Chapter Board for a vote.
March 30, 2024: ASID National is notified of selection.
Training will be provided by ASID National during the summer, along with specialized Board training in Nebraska with the full incoming Board.
October 1: Assume duties of SRB office. Appointment runs until September 30 of next year. Service includes fulfilling duties oulined in the ASID Policies, attending all regularly scheduled board meetings and trainings, and participating and voting as a board member.
